Purchased this table for $5 at an estate sale & it was pretty just as it was, but it really wasn’t my style . So, I decided to do something different, something I’ve seen done on way too many YouTube channels, something that made me a little nervous & something outside my norm. I started out a little modest & light with the paint and the OCD in me really wanted everything to be balanced & uniform. I realized that with this style of painting that I needed to just let go & go crazy. Reminding myself that if I didn’t like it, I could wipe it down & paint over it. So, I poured 5 different colors (listed below) all over the top & used my fingers to spread it out. Yes, just my fingers! After getting the coverage I liked, after it was all dry I used a matte clear chalk spray paint. I am in love with this piece! It’s definitely an eye catcher & I’m not sure you should have more than one piece of furniture painted like this, it is definitely one of a kind.
Annie Sloan chalk paint colors used: Provence, Duck Egg Blue, Antoinette, Paris Grey, French Linen & Rust-Oleum Matte Clear Chalk Spray Paint.
